Biography of the Speaker: Carla Parvin

A "failed" retiree, Carla Parvin has never been one to sit still. She & her husband of 50 years started researching the viability of investing in spec homes six years ago & found they enjoyed it! They have been successful as they built & flipped stick-built homes, modular homes & a modular duplex. They also own rental property.

Having owned their homes from year one of their marriage & built two homes from scratch, they were familiar with the process of building a home, but in 2020, building a stick-built home became much more expensive!

In February of 2020, Carla joined Carolinas REIA in Asheville, NC. She saw the value of the REIA & joined the Board of Directors the next year. She held the Education Chair position for two years, then served as President in 2023.
